Calling all alumni of the Notre Dame Russian program! Sabrina Badger ’05 has completed a full year of intensive Russian language and cultural study on the ACTR program in Moscow and is currently working toward a master's degree in Russian and East European Studies at the University of Oxford (U.K.).

Petra Dankova ’05 has returned to her native country, the Czech Republic, and is now working for the Catholic Charities in Prague on a project assisting migrants and victims of human trafficking - a job that allows her to use all her languages, including Russian.

Sheila Dawes ’05 is employed as the Outreach and Alumni Coordinator at American Councils for International Education (ACTR/ACCELS) in Washington, D.C. and works to support ACTR-administered programs for language study and research in Russia and Eurasia.

Brock Domin ’03 works at Warner Bros. in Los Angeles and is busy directing and shooting an independent film called “Late Night Driving Project.”

Shelece Easterday ’04 taught English in St. Petersburg for one year after graduation. She now lives in Albuquerque and is hoping to complete a master’s degree in ESL at the University of New Mexico.

Alison Glass ’06 has received a prestigious Fulbright Award to teach in Russia during academic year 2006-07.

Brittany Payeur ’04 is studying in the master’s degree program in Near Eastern Languages and Cultures at Indiana University, Bloomington.

Molly Peeney ’95 is completing a Ph.D. in Russian Literature at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, with a dissertation on the novels of Vladimir Nabokov.

Kristen Rogers Power ’02 is married and lives in Philadelphia, where she is a Philadelphia Teaching Fellow working in the area of special education. She is also taking classes at the University of Pennsylvania toward her state teaching certification.

Jim Stevens ’02 received a joint J.D. and master's degree in International & Comparative Law from Duke University in 2005. From there he went on to work for the United States Third Circuit Court of Appeals as a law clerk to the Honorable Ruggero J. Aldisert. He currently is an associate in Houston, TX at the law firm of Vinson & Elkins LLP.

Brianne Todd ’04 held a summer internship at the State Department after graduation from Notre Dame, and then worked for two years as a paralegal at Jackson & Campbell, P.C. in Washington, D.C. Now she is spending a semester studying Russian at Moscow State Unversity in preparation for beginning graduate school in the fall. She plans to earn a master's degree in Russian and East European studies or international relations with a REES emphasis.

Erin Urban ’04 has completed a master's degree in Eurasian, Russian, and East European Area Studies at Georgetown University. She is currently employed as Assistant Project Manager for the World Movement for Democracy at the National Endowment for Democracy in Washington, D.C., working mostly with Russian and East European non-profit organizations.
