Laura Bellis
Associate Director
Executive MBA/MBA Alumni Career Services
Laura BellisLaura is Associate Director of the EMBA/MBA Alumni Career Services.  In this capacity she provides career coaching and support to qualified executives in the EMBA program as well as MBA alumni who are in career transition.  Additionally Laura works with full-time MBA students who are considering a career in consulting and is Advisor to the MBA Consulting Club.  Prior to joining Notre Dame in September 2003, Laura spent over 15 years in the professional services industry working for Arthur Andersen and Accenture as a Consultant in Outsourcing Services, as well as College Recruiting Manager.  She also worked for Booz Allen Hamilton as a Consultant in the Organization and Strategy business unit.  Laura Bellis received her MBA from Dominican University and a B.A. degree from Elmhurst College.
 
Marc D. Burdell

Marc BurdellMarc D. Burdell, a 1987 graduate of the University of Notre Dame, is the senior director of the professional and academic programs department of Notre Dame's Alumni Association.

Burdell, who earned a bachelor's degree in the Arts and Letters Program for Administrators at Notre Dame, joined the Alumni Association team in 2006. He spent his nineteen-year career in the healthcare industry. Before returning to Notre Dame, Burdell was the acting CEO and Vice President of Sales and Marketing of Humana Inc. of Arizona. Prior to that, he was the national Vice President of PhDx e-Systems, a spine and orthopedic outcomes measurement company. He has served as vice chairman of the board for the AK Foundation in Phoenix Arizona, a group dedicated to serving uninsured single mothers and their children; he also served on the board of the Suns Nite Hoops Organization, an affiliate of the Phoenix Suns that focuses on getting troubled teens back on the right track.

Burdell and his wife Jeanette, a 1987 St. Mary's College graduate, have three children: Michael (20), Courtney (17), and Geoffrey (14). Michael is enrolled at Notre Dame as a proud member of the Class of 2010
 
Scott James
Fair Trade Sports
MBA University of Notre Dame 1999

Scott JamesScott James is the founder of Fair Trade Sports, offering the world's first line of sports balls for soccer, football, basketball that are eco-certified and Fair Trade Certified. Like the Newman's Own brand, all after-tax profits are designated for charity.
Scott previously worked for Microsoft, but says that he escaped from the ample marketing budgets and cushy benefits packages and is now enamored with all things open source. He’s the marketing instructor at the sustainable MBA program at the Bainbridge Graduate Institute.  Scott also serves as the "Free Market-er" at an abolitionist group called the Not For Sale Campaign that seeks to end human trafficking and slavery.

Scott did his undergraduate work at Baylor University and his MBA at University of Notre Dame. He lives on an island near Seattle with his wife Susan and children, Justice and Mercy.
