From the Bottom Up.
The origins of this club reach back to the fall semester of 2005. A freshman at the University of Notre Dame had the opportunity to blow glass in high school.
After quickly becoming addicted to the studio art, it became his goal to share it with the Notre Dame community. After one year of lobbying, the proper paper-work was finished and the club was up for approval.
In July of 2007, the green light was given to the club to start general meetings.
We are currently in the process of building up the club. This year, we will be offering glass etching, stained glass, and lampworking techniques to members.
Our hope is that we will be able to open a glass blowing studio by our next academic year.
