Predoctoral Teaching Fellowship Program
Two predoctoral teaching fellows work in the Gender Studies Program from August 15-August 14. The specifications of the positions are currently as follows:
1) a stipend of $16000 for service to the Program during the academic year and $3600 of summer funding for doctoral research
2) 20 hours per week of teaching (one course per semester in an area that fits the predoctoral teaching fellow's research and teaching interests), advising, and programming work during the academic year, and
3) an office in 325 O’Shaughnessy, shared with the other Gender Studies predoctoral teaching fellow.
Any College of Arts and Letters doctoral student/candidate in good standing and in their seventh year of study or less may apply.
Applications should include:
1) a letter of interest in the position including a timeline for the completion of the Ph.D.,
2) a C.V.,
3) a statement of teaching philosophy (and teaching evaluations if available), and
4) a list of three faculty references with their contact information.
Reapplications for the fellowships are acceptable.
The application deadline is January 23, 2009.
