Credit by Exam
Credit by Examination

Students may earn university credit for mastery of material according to criteria established by the academic departments. Approved credit is awarded by the Dean of the First Year of Studies and entered on the official transcript maintained in the Registrar's Office. This credit may be used to satisfy university requirements or may be applied toward other required or elective courses as the student's particular college program permits. If credit is not applicable in a specific college program, that credit is recorded on the student's transcript, but it represents credit in excess of graduation requirements.

Credit by examination is not counted as required or elective credit if the number of the course for which credit is awarded is lower than the initial course required in a particular college program.

All documentation submitted for credit must be presented to the student's academic advisor no later than the end of the first semester on campus.
