Student Business Board

The Student Business Board is comprised of the following undergraduate student-operated businesses: Irish Gardens and Adworks. It is the responsibility of the Student Business Board to provide students with practical experience in a business environment and offer convenient services to the Notre Dame community. The minimum goal of the Student Business Board is to break-even after all debts are paid.

The Student Business Board is composed of the Student Business Board General Manager, the Irish Gardens Manager, the Adworks Manager, and an Assistant to the Student Union Treasurer. The Student Business Board shall direct and oversee the daily operations of the Student Businesses.

All meetings shall be open to the public. The Student Business Board shall close meetings when discussing personnel matters.

Student Business Board General Manager

The General Manager is responsible for organizing and conducting all formal SBB meetings. In addition, this individual assembles and organizes income and expense related information in order to created financial statements - especially Income Statements - and subsequently presents this information to the rest of SBB.

The General Manager also serves as the liaison between the SBB and the Payroll office. After each Head Manager has submitted time sheets to the General Manager for review, the General Manager must verify and approve this information via UltraTime, the University's payroll tracking system.

The General Manager is responsible for applying for and coordinating the SBB's annual football concession stand. The General Manager also represents the SBB before the Council of Representatives and is thus responsible for presenting the new SBB General Manager and business Head Managers to the Council.
