Professor Eric Jumper has been named a
Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and
Astronautics (AIAA).

Professor Thomas Mueller was named a Fellow
of the British Royal Aeronautical Society. In addition,
he has edited two published volumes: "Fixed
and Flapping Wing Aerodynamics for Micro Air Vehicle
Applications" published by the AIAA, and "Aeroacoustic
Measurements" published by Springer-Verlag.
Additionally, Dr. Mueller has been selected to receive
the AIAA Award for 2003, honoring his contirbutions
to the understanding of the flow physics of low Reynolds
number airfoils and wings. This award will be presented
at the 21st AIAA Applied Aerodynamics Conference in
June 2003.

Professor Thomas Corke has released a
new book, "Design
of Aircraft," published by Prentice-Hall.

The 30th Annual Midwestern Universities
Fluid Mechanics Retreat was held this April with Notre
Dame as the organizing school. More information about
