Team Spirit Award
This award goes to the team that most enthusiastically demonstrates a commitment to getting others to see how accessible, fun, and rewarding science and technology can be, especially when you're part of a great team.

Judges Award
Many high quality teams don't exactly fit the mold for an existing award, but nonetheless deserving. Some teams have a story that profoundly sets them apart in a unique way. This award gives the judges the freedom to recognize the most remarkable team for which a standard award does not exist.

Director's Award
This award encompasses five key elements of the technical and team performance awards. This award honors the team's understanding and practice of the true meaning of FIRST and FLL. The winner of the Director's award has the honor of being the top qualifier to go onto the state tournament.

Qualifications for the State Tournament
Robot Performance, Research Presentation, Innovative Design, Robust Design, Programming, and Teamwork, will be the categories used to determine which teams qualify for the State tournament. The top 15 teams will have the opportunity to participate. For any reason, if a chosen team chooses not to participate at the state level, the next highest team will be granted this opportunity.
