Student
Financial Aid Application
Financial Aid opportunities for first-year international students
are limited, and at the present there is no funding to assist international
transfer students. International students should be prepared to finance,
either privately or through a sponsor, the full cost of their Notre
Dame education. The International Student Certification of Finances
must be submitted at the time of admission illustrating and documenting
sufficient financial support to meet the projected cost of a Notre
Dame undergraduate education.
Prospective First Year students wishing to be considered for limited
need-based financial assistance must first complete an International
Certification of Finances along with an International Student Financial
Aid Application. Based upon a review of academic qualifications, financial
need and availability of student aid resources, an applicant may be
considered for financial assistance including a self-help component
of a student loan and student employment along with University scholarship
assistance. The Certification of Finances and the CSS International
Student Financial Aid Application will be reviewed along with the
student's admission application.
The Certification of Finances is kept on file for continuing international
students outlining the family's annual responsibility to meet educational
expenses as a condition of continued enrollment at the University
of Notre Dame and for satisfying the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization
Service's regulations required for maintaining an officially authorized
U.S. Student Visa status.
