Obtaining a Student Job
- Visit the Student Employment
Job Board for a list of employment opportunities.
- When employment with a department is agreed upon, be prepared
to complete and submit to your supervisor a W-4
Form and your Employment Eligibility Verification (Form
I-9) along with supporting documentation as listed on page two
of the I-9 Form. (Note: The I-9 Form and W-4 Form are required for
new employees only.)
- Complete an Authorization for Payroll
Direct Deposit Form, available in the Payroll Office, 724 Grace
Hall or the Student Employment Office. (Note: If you completed the
Direct Deposit Form last year, it is not necessary to complete a
new form each year.)
- Record your hours in the University's UltraTime system to ensure that you are paid in a timely manner. If you are unable to use the UltraTime system, submit time cards to your supervisor for verification and sign-off, allowing enough time for delivery to and processing by the Payroll department according to the Payroll Schedule.
