Description of Position

Legends Catering Event Staff members ensure the overall operational success of private catered events here at Legends.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
 
Work as part of the Catering Event team in the set-up, implementation, and tear-down of private events; includes (but is not limited to) decorating the space, setting up tables and chairs, replenishing food/drinks, removing dishes, cleaning tables, disposing of trash, etc.

Abide by the direction of the Student Catering Manager as well as the Catering and Events Manager.
Know, understand, and help uphold all Legends and University policies and procedures.
               
Offer, maintain, and role model a level of customer service consistent with the standard of excellence expected of all Legends employees.

Answer questions and provide information to guests in a friendly and helpful manner.

Familiarize self with emergency procedures for the venue.

Attend any scheduled meetings with the Legends management.

Follow instruction of Legends management.

Qualifications

The ideal Legends Catering Event Staff members will be able to demonstrate the following:

Good communication skills (written and verbal) Ability to consistently provide high quality customer service Ability to calmly and appropriately handle high stress situations Ability to take direction well, from both peers and managers Flexibility towards both hours worked and tasks to be completed Strong folding abilities and/or past catering/restaurant experience is a bonus.
