Description of Position

Tutors will be asked to work on literacy skills with 1-3 children in one hour segments with a goal of 35 hours per student.

Qualifications

Upper-classmen.

Strong interest in education.

Energetic, dependable, positive attitude and commitment to helping elementary students improve literacy skills Ability to implement supplied literacy lesson plans Capable of communicating student progress and concerns Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent interpersonal skills to work with children and other staff.

Numbers of hours per week

2 - 4

Schedule

Tutoring is scheduled Monday through Thursday at the RCLC, with a preference of a minimum commitment of two days per week per child/group. Hours range from 3:30-7:00pm.
