Description of Position |
Provide classroom
assistance to South Bend Community School Corporation's Adult Education
Program staff and students at one or more class sites. Assist in classroom by
tutoring adults in GED preparation, basic skill instruction, computer use,
life skills and job skills. Strong need for tutors interested in teaching
English as a second language. Licensed teachers provide excellent training
and supervision. |

Qualifications |
Ability
to communicate effectively with adult education students of diverse ages (16
and over) and abilities. Strong academic skills needed to tutor students in
reading, math and language skills from basic literacy levels through GED/High
School skill levels. High interest in working with diverse populations.
Additional asset: good basic computer application skills (e.g., MS Office,
Word, Excel, Internet use). |
