Exit Loan Counseling Information
Federal regulations require that all students who have borrowed from the federal loan programs receive exit loan counseling. Exit loan counseling provides details regarding a borrower’s rights and responsibilities for student loan repayment, deferment options, and loan consolidation benefits. Please follow the 2-step process listed below:
| STEP 1: Online Exit Counseling
|
Federal Perkins Loan
University Accounting Service (UAS)
Notre Dame's Perkins Loan Servicer
Federal Stafford Loan
Sallie Mae OpenNet
(Students new to this site will need to register)
Students who have borrowed both the Perkins and the Stafford Loans must complete both (Perkins and Stafford) online counseling sessions.

Students who are leaving the University, but not graduating, are encouraged to carefully review the Exit Counseling PowerPoint. If there are additional questions after reviewing the presentation, please contact the Office of Financial Aid.
