Welcome to the
University of Notre Dame's
Office of Financial Aid
What students are asking about Student Financial Services:
SPECIAL NOTICE: Returning undergraduate student priority financial aid filing deadlines have changed: FAFSA and CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE due April 25; IDOC submissions due April 30. See How to Apply for specific instructions.
I am considering less than full-time enrollment for my senior year. How will my financial aid be affected?
The decision to reduce your enrollment should be considered carefully. Click here for more guidance on academic and nonacademic ramifications of becoming a part-time student.
Will living off campus affect my financial aid eligibility?
No. A standard room and board allowance is used to determine undergraduate students' cost of attendance whether they live on or off-campus. The allowance for the 2012/2013 school year is $11,934. Click here to learn more.
Can my academic performance affect my financial aid eligibility?
Students are required to maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average, be on pace to graduate, and complete their degree within a maximum time frame in order to remain eligible for financial aid. Click here to find out more about University policy on Satisfactory Academic Progress.
I received a scholarship from an organization outside of Notre Dame. What do I do?
The receipt of any scholarship or grant not listed in the original Financial Aid Award Letter must be reported to the Office of Financial Aid as soon as the student is notified of the award. View further information about how the receipt of an outside award may affect your financial aid here.
You may advise the donating organization to make the scholarship check payable to the "University of Notre Dame" and send directly to the Office of Financial Aid with your NDid for application to your Student Account.
If the scholarship check is made payable to you, forward the check directly to the Office of Financial Aid with your NDid, and make it payable to the "University of Notre Dame" for application to your Student Account.
Where is my bill?
IRISHPAY is the University's online student account statement and payment system available to both students and their parents/guardians. Your parents/guardians will only be able to view your student account statement once you have completed the authorization process. If you have not already authorized your parents/guardians to view your student account statement, please do so immediately here.
The Fall 2012 statement will be available via IRISHPAY on Friday, July 13, 2012, with payment due by Wednesday, August 8, 2012.
The Spring 2013 statement will be available via IRISHPAY on Friday, December 7, 2012, with payment due by Wednesday, January 2, 2013.
Monthly statements will be available via IRISHPAY as needed with payment due upon receipt. Statements will include transactions since the prior statement.
How can I request a refund of my student account credit balance?
A student (or parent of an undergraduate student) may request a refund when a valid credit balance exists on their student account. Please note that a refund cannot be issued until loan proceeds and/or other Financial Aid are disbursed to your student account, you have completed ND Roll Call, and classes have begun for a given semester. Please click here for more information and the online Refund Request Form.
How do I obtain a student job?
It is the student's responsibility to secure employment. The Student Employment JOBboard is a great place to begin your search. The JOBboard is updated regularly as new positions become available. You may also visit Obtaining a Student Job for additional information. FAQs for Campus Employment and Community Service may also address many questions that you may have regarding student employment.
