What students are asking about Student Financial Services:
SPECIAL NOTICE: Returning undergraduate student priority financial aid filing deadlines have changed: FAFSA and CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE due April 25; IDOC submissions due April 30. See How to Apply for specific instructions.
I was a student employee in 2011. When will I receive my Form W-2?
All 2011 W-2s will be mailed to your home address by the University on or around January 31, 2012. After that date you may view (and print) your W-2 from the My Resources tab of insideND. For more information visit the Payroll Office website.
When will I receive my Form 1098-T?
All 2011 1098-Ts will be mailed to your home address by the University on or around January 31, 2012. The 1098-T contains data elements that the IRS will find helpful in calculating a student's eligibility for the American Opportunity Credit and Lifetime Learning Credit. Please visit the Controller’s Office website for more detailed information.
Current students can view Form 1098-T information after January 31, 2012 by visiting the Student Academic section of insideND.
Can my academic performance affect my financial aid eligibility?
Students are required to maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average, be on pace to graduate, and complete their degree within a maximum time frame in order to remain eligible for financial aid. Click here to find out more about University policy on Satisfactory Academic Progress.
Will living off campus affect my financial aid eligibility?
No. A
standard room and board amount is used to determine undergraduate students' cost of attendance
whether they live on or off-campus. The amount for the 2011/2012 school
year is approximately $11,390. Click here to learn more.
I am considering less than full-time enrollment for my senior year. How will my financial aid be affected?
The decision to reduce your enrollment should be considered carefully. Click here for more guidance on academic and nonacademic ramifications of becoming a part-time student.
Where is my bill?
IRISHPAY is the University's online student account statement and payment system available to both students and their parents/guardians. Your parents/guardians will only be able to view your student account statement once you have completed the authorization process. If you have not already authorized your parents/guardians to view your student account statement, please do so immediately here.
The Spring 2012 statement will be available via IRISHPAY on December 2, 2011, with payment due by Tuesday, January 3, 2012.
How can I request a refund of my student account credit balance?
A student (or parent of an undergraduate student) may request a refund when a valid credit balance exists on their student account. Please note that a refund cannot be issued until loan proceeds and/or other Financial Aid are disbursed to your student account, you have completed ND Roll Call, and classes have begun for a given semester. Please click here for more information and the online Refund Request Form.
How do I obtain a student job?
It is the student's responsibility to secure employment. The Student Employment JOBboard is a great place to begin your search. The JOBboard is updated regularly as new positions become available. You may also visit Obtaining a Student Job for additional information. FAQs for Campus Employment and Community Service may also address many questions that you may have regarding student employment.
