Churchill Foundation Scholarship
Encourages the exchange of knowledge and the sharing of ideas in science and technology between the US and Great Britain. This program enables outstanding American students to do graduate work in engineering, mathematics and the physical and natural sciences at Churchill College, Cambridge University. DAAD High Tech In Old Germany: Summer program in Munich for 2nd -, 3rd - and 4th - year students enrolled full time in an engineering or natural sciences degree program. Program encompasses language study, specialized subject seminars and workshops in engineering and life sciences, project work and lectures on intercultural communications and European history and culture. DAAD RISE - Research Internships in Science and Engineering: Gives students in the fields of Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, Geology and Physics the chance to spend a summer working with German doctoral students on serious research projects. http://www.daad.de/rise/en/ .

DAAD Study Scholarship: For graduating seniors wishing to study at universities in Germany. Applicants must have a well-defined study or research project that makes a stay in Germany essential. Preference will be given to applicants who have been invited by a faculty member at a German university to study or do research in a particular university department. Requires university endorsement. DAAD University Summer Course Grant: Scholarships for juniors and seniors for summer language courses at German universities which focus on literary, cultural, political and economic aspects of contemporary Germany. See www.daad.org/?p=summercourse.

Department of Energy Computational Science Graduate Fellowship
For graduating seniors planning full-time study toward a PhD in the physical, engineering, computer, mathematical or life sciences. See www.krellinst.org/csgf.

Department of Energy High Performance Computer Science Graduate Fellowship

Department of Homeland Security: Science and Technology Directorate Graduate Fellowship
Intended to ensure a diverse and highly talented science and technology community to achieve the DHS mission and objectives.  Areas of study include: physical, biological, social and behavioral sciences including science policy, engineering, mathematics, and computer science. Ford Foundation Diversity Predoctoral Fellowship
Provides three years of support for individuals engaged in graduate study leading to a PhD or ScD in order to increase the diversity of the nation’s college and university faculties. See http://national-academies.org/fellowships.

GEM Fellowship
Offers opportunities for underrepresented students to obtain MS degrees in engineering and PhDs in engineering and the natural and physical sciences through a program of paid summer internships and graduate financial aid. See www.gemfellowship.org.

Hertz Foundation Graduate Fellowship
Supports graduate students working towards their PhD in applications of the physical sciences. Applicants must show evidence of creativity, broad understanding of the physical principles, and outstanding potential for innovative research, and they must be willing to morally commit to make their skills available to the US in time of national emergency. NDSEG (National Defense Science and Engineering) Graduate Fellowship

NSF (National Science Foundation) Graduate Research Fellowship

Newton Fellowship Program
Focuses on the shortage of adequately qualified mathematics teachers in our nation's public high schools by training mathematically-talented individuals to become high school math teachers and supporting them in the early years of their careers. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Graduate Fellowship Program
Consists of work experience at the NRC followed by subsidized doctoral or master’s level education and return to work with the NRC for students in engineering, science or other technical field of critical need. See http://www.orau.gov/nrced/.

SMART (Science, Mathematics and Research for Transformation) Scholarship
Established by the Reagan National Defense Authorization Act (2005) to promote the education, recruitment and retention of rising junior and senior undergraduate and graduate students in Science, Math and Engineering studies. Society of Women Engineers Scholarship

Goldwater Scholarship
Awards undergraduate scholarships to outstanding sophomores and juniors who have outstanding potential and intend to pursue careers in mathematics, the natural sciences or engineering. NASA Undergraduate Student Research Project

Northeast Indiana Engineers Week Academic Awards
