Elements of HTML Style
http://www.book.uci.edu/Staff/StyleGuide.html
---
This guide was written an absurdly long time ago, at least in Web years. It says nothing about Netscape, inline JPEGS, HTML3, or many of the other addenda that people have taken to using, for good or ill, in the vicinity of the Web. I think the reason it's aged well has been that, like Strunk and White, its ostensible model, it says a number of very simple things, over and over again. Most of them still hold true.
