FASO has many annual events to involve the communities of FASO, Notre Dame, and the Mishawaka/South Bend region.
Please check our History Page to learn more about some of these events!
ANNUAL FASO TRADITIONS
Fiestang
FASO's signature event, a cultural show to promote awareness and diversity on campus, as well as to celebrate the Filipino culture.
Halo-Haloween

An annual Halloween trip to a haunted house in Niles and, of course, the yummy Filipino dessert, Halo-Halo.
Concession Stands

A great way to raise money for new events, as well as getting to spend time with friends before a football game.
Asian Allure

A celebration of all Asian cultures hosted in the fall in the historic Washington Hall.
FASO IN THE COMMUNITY
Charity Dinners/Service

FASO hosts dinners for charity and is active in serving the needy in the South Bend community. The picture above is the
Kabayanihan Dinner hosted by FASO to provide donations to the victims of Typhoon Ondoy.
Filipino American Association of Michiana Events
The Filipino American Association of Michiana (FAAM) invites FASO to perform at social events.
OTHER FASO OPPORTUNITIES
Tagalog Lessons
Started by Randall Ang '12 and Anne Robles '13 in Spring 2010, FASO offers basic Tagalog lessons.
Bonfires
Nice way to get to know people at the beginning of the school year, and an excuse to eat lots of lumpia and turon.

Ate-Kuya Socials
Each freshman is paired with an ate and/or kuya for the year.
OLD FASO TRADITIONS
These are cherished traditions FASO used to have but have unfortunately ceased.
We hope to bring them back to FASO sometime in the near future!
Lumpia Nights
Small get togethers to make some of that old fashioned home cooked meals.
Thai Lao Trips
Trips/Walks to the local Filipino Restaurant just near campus.
Annual Fall Retreats
FASO once hosted annual Fall retreats and leadership retreats for members and non-members alike.
