2007 INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS SEMINAR
LEADERSHIP & STRATEGY IN A GLOBAL ECONOMY
SEPTEMBER 2-8, 2007 - OXFORD, ENGLAND

PROGRAM OVERVIEW:

The challenges facing businesses in the 21st century are profound.  Globalization, diminished resources, increased price pressures, more complex global governmental entities and complex regulations, new competition and rising expectations of social and global responsibility are increasing the complexity of operating a business successfully.  At the same time the world is facing: increasing disparity of wealth between nations and between citizens within a nation, increased competition for materials, increasing costs of energy and looming environmental issues. To be successful, the modern executive must be aware of and have a strategy for dealing with all of these issues.

The University of Notre Dame and the University of Oxford have partnered in order to deliver a program that explores these complex issues.  We seek to develop a cadre of global executives who are considering ways to increase the likelihood of not only corporate success but also societal and global success over the coming decades and centuries.  The program focuses on the broad issues of success in a global environment with special emphasis on strategy, leadership and corporate social responsibility.  We will also explore how to navigate the business waters of Europe and the United Kingdom.

We invite you to join us for a week at Corpus Christi College at the University of Oxford.  You and your colleagues will jointly explore and develop models that will allow your businesses to compete successfully in the new reality of the 21st Century.

Sincerely,

Joseph S. O'Hannigan
