Institutional File Space Project Technology Interest Group Charter
With the Institutional File Space (IFS) deliverables driving the focus of the goals and direction of the group, the IFS Technical Interest group is lead by the Project Leader/Manager. Kevin Rowland of OIT’s Enterprise Systems Software group is the Project Leader. Members in the Project Technical Interest group should include:
· OIT Architect (or someone representing that area)
· ASI
· Persons who meet the technical skill criteria (defined below) specified by the Project Leader/Manager. Criteria will define the technical skills needed by these persons. Criteria shall be written so that the type of persons on the committee are of benefit to the project, but not written so "challenging" that no one would have the opportunity to meet the criteria.
· A facilitator
Members of the Project Technical Interest group can expect to provide feedback to the OIT on:
· Standards
· Design of solutions (brainstorming, addressing issues, etc.)
· The ripples created by the development cycle of the deliverable
As members of the Project Technical Interest group, members must agree to:
· Speak with one voice, so that the recommendations and feedback carried forth from the Project Technical Interest group is made by the group, for the group.
The Project Manager will:
· Hold regular meetings and document the proceedings
· Document recommendations made by the team
· Have a published agenda for each meeting
· Document all decisions made by the team, including rationale

These are the topics that will be addressed by this project. Members of this group should collectively comprise expertise in each of these topics in order to be able to make design recommendations to the Project Leader.
