Zaragoza
Zaragoza has a great artistic heritage in its own right, and is situated in a beautiful part of Aragon province.
An excursion to Zaragoza and Lourdes would take place over an extended weekend. Zaragoza is roughly six hours from Alcoy by bus, with Lourdes an additional five hours through the scenic Pyrenees mountains.
Lourdes
All Notre Dame students are familiar with Lourdes, the small French town where Bernadette of Lourdes saw 18 apparitions of the Blessed Virgin between February 11 and July 16, 1858. Lourdes is one of the most famous pilgrimage destinations in the world, and is located near the French-Spanish border and a few hours from Zaragoza.
