As
with any university, Notre Dame focuses on excellence in
teaching, learning, and scholarship. It’s why you expect academic
excellence of your faculty and courses, as we expect it from
you as a student in the College of Engineering. Yet our Catholic
mission focuses on more than pure academics. If tradition tells
us anything, we know that as part of our vibrant community, you
will grow and develop as a person, which is why there are so
many opportunities open to you outside the classroom. Whether
you play intramural sports, volunteer with a local organization,
or spend a semester abroad, there are many avenues for you to
explore.
Residence life is an equally important part of student life, particularly at Notre Dame, where 29 undergraduate residence halls provide distinctive communities where students learn how to live with one another … through successes and failures. It is a place where students encourage, challenge, and support one another … where they build lasting friendships while honing the skills they will need in their chosen fields.
