Chicago Trip: September 24th, 2011

The program will be sponsoring a trip to Chicago on Saturday, September 24th. Transportation, dinner, and a trip to the Field Museum will be included, and the morning will be yours to explore the city. More details to come soon.

End-of-semester get-together at Reckers: May 8th at 1:00pm

The semester is drawing to a close, and that means the final EHP/ESP gathering is coming up. We'll all meet at the Reckers patio to enjoy a snack on the program’s tab (that’s right, free food) and argue about who has the worst finals schedule. Don't even pretend you don’t have time because we all know how much of your study days is actually spent studying...

EHP/ESP will be providing cupcakes on the morning of Monday April 4th from 9am to 11:30am in the 2nd-floor Cushing engineering lounge.
Come, have some delicious treats, and commiserate about the end-of-term projects you haven't started. Free food. Come and get it.

First-year ESP students are invited to a private meeting with Father Hesburgh on Wednesday, April 13th at 4:30pm.
This is a unique opportunity to visit the 13th floor of the library and hear some great stories from the holder of the Guinness Book of World Records for the most honorary degrees (150!). Sophomores who missed their chance last year are welcome to join as well. Please let Claire LaRosa (clarosa@nd.edu) know if you are planning on attending.

The newly-formed executive board had their first meeting on
February 28th.
These and future meeting notes and announcements will be posted here, and any suggestions or concerns you would like to be brought up at the next meeting may be emailed to your major or class representative on the board. Contact information for board members is posted here (link coming soon).

The E-board's officers were elected at this meeting.

*Andrew Ritter will assume the Chair's duties after this spring.
With the exception of those graduating, these officers will remain in place for the following school year as well.

The board set goals for this semester, including to formally outline honors thesis requirements for all departments, to plan a spring field trip, and to coordinate an EHP/ESP community service event. If you have suggestions about these or other items, do get in touch with your major or class representative.
