Clusters 101

We have 56 Sun Ultra 20 Workstations running RHEL4 and Windows XP Professional SP3 through VMware in the cluster on first floor of Fitzpatrick. In Room 303 Cushing, we have 32 Sun Ultra 20 Workstations running Windows XP Professional SP3. Cushing 303, however, is usually reserved for classes.
The Learning Center contains 20 IBM ThinkCentre workstations running Windows XP Professional. These PCs are primarily for students in EG10111 and EG10112, but other students may use them as well. Contact the Learning Center Manager for more information.
In addition to Office 2003 and MATLAB, they also provide College of Engineering specific programs such as Aspen. The Gateway PCs have CD Writer drives and plenty of scratch space to put your files temporarily before you write them to the CDs.
