News for March 1, 2009: The printers in Fitzpatrick and Cushing will now have a print quota attached to them. This is meant to be in the spirit of greeND. The print quota will be 1000 pages per semester. Based on the price of per page printing color pages will be the equivalent of 5 pages. You can access your print quota on the linux machines or by using F-Secure or X-Win on the Windows machines. Type print_quota "your_netID" without the quotes to access it. If you are having issues with this not working type which print_quota and that will redirect you to what must precede print_quota for it to work. Tip: Control Which Programs Start Automatically in Windows XP Click Start, Run and type the command 'msconfig'. Click 'OK' and the Microsoft System Configuration Utility will appear. Click the Startup tab and you can uncheck those programs which you would not like to start when the machine is booted up. |
