Nevin Longenecker of Adams High School, South Bend, IN is worked on a Enzymatic Fuel Cell. His work involves evaluation of electrode materials, the immobilization process and cell design.

Connie Biegel, of Elkhart Memorial High School, is worked on the LakeNet project. She constructed a low-energy light sensor.

Kathy Kolata, of The Montessori Academy at Edison Lakes developed a curriculum guide for lower elementary teachers on the water molecule from the molecular scale to the global scale. Ms. Kolata's work also hopes to broaden EMSI’s outreach programs nationally. In the above photo, Ms. Kolata is working with local children helping them to understand how the water molecule changes from one state to another.
