Indiana Division Junior Olympic Qualifiers

Sunday, December 5, 2004

Indiana Fencing Academy
Mishawaka, IN

Limited to Indiana Division Fencers

Important Note: Due to the October, 2004 USFA board decision, all fencers who qualify for the Junior category at the JO's, and who are age eligible for the Cadet category, automatically qualify for the Cadet event. For this reason we have delayed the start times of the Cadet events by two hours, so that the Junior events now begin one hour prior to the Cadet events. Note this change!!!

    Age Restrictions

The USFA imposes age restrictions on Junior and Cadet fencing categories. For the 2004-2005 fencing year, Cadet fencers must be born in the years 1988-1991 and Junior fencers must be born in the years 1985-1991. Younger fencers can fence in these events ONLY if they are on the next younger age category national point list at the time of the competition! A complete explanation of these requirements is found on the USFA website given here.
