INDIANA CUP COMPETITION

JUNE 16-17, 2001

This year the Indiana Cup will be held on TWO days at two separate locations. The Youth events (Y14) will be held on June 16 at the Indiana Fencing Academy. The Open events will be held on June 17 in the newly remodelled Notre Dame Fencing Salle. USFA membership is required for all events, but you can join at the door. Details are given below.

Registration:

Registration for the youth events is $10 for the first event and $5 for each additional event. Campers pay $5 for each event. There is no advance registration fee for the youth events.

Open Events:

June 17, 2001

Sabre will be a combined event, but Women's Epee and Women's Foil WILL be fenced separately.

Directions:

Take Indiana Toll Road (I-80/90) to exit 77 for South Bend/Notre Dame. After paying toll, continue to first traffic light. Turn right (south) on U.S. 31/33, to first traffic light (the "Inn at St. Mary's" will be on your right). Turn left, onto Douglas Road. At the first traffic light, turn right (south) onto Juniper Road. Turn left at the fourth light, just before the football stadium. After the turn, the Joyce Center will be on your right. Park behind the Joyce Center and enter through Gate 4. The stairway to the fencing gym is on your right after you enter the building.

Team Trophy:

This year we again have a team trophy! This trophy - a beautiful silver champagne bucket engraved with the Indiana Cup logo - will go home for a year with the representative of the club which accumulates the most points in the open events. Points awarded will be 100/place of finish for each individual, so even if you don't get very far you can still contribute to your club's total! Last year it was recaptured by Escrime Du Lac from Saturn Fencing Club. This year maybe your club will take it home!

Registration:

$15.00 for the first event with advanced registration, $20.00 at the door. Additional event entries are $10 per event Fencers enrolled in an Escrime Du Lac Summer Training Camp pay $5 per event. Fencers qualify for the advanced registration fee by printing out and returning the registration form located here or by emailing the relevant information to us at:
