Escrime du Lac Summer Camp 2002
There will be two summer camps held at the club in June before the
Summer Nationals in July.
When:
June 10 - 14
and
June 17 - 21
Each camp consists of five days of training bracketed around
the Indiana
Cup Tournament held on June 15 and 16.
This event will bring together many of the top
fencers in the Midwest. There will be a director's clinic before the Youth
event (Y-14) on Saturday, June 15 at the Indiana Fencing Academy,
and older fencers will compete at the
Open on Sunday, June 16 at the University of Notre Dame. Most fencers
choose to attend both weeks of the camp.

Why?
At the camps you can improve your:
Conditioning
Learn proven excercise routines developed at European Olympic Training
Centers that will strengthen your fencing abilities.
Footwork/Bladework
Learn and improve your bladework and footwork from top European Coaches.
These are the two most important aspects of fencing.
Tactics
Tactical skills will be taught extensively throughout the camps. Video tape
analysis will be implemented at the camps as well.
Bouting
Bouting sessions will be an integral part of each camp. Campers will have
opportunities to compete with top fencers from Notre Dame and Escrime du Lac.
Competition
Campers will participate in the Indiana
Cup Tournament held on June 15 and 16. This event will bring together many of the top fencers in the Midwest.

How Do I Sign Up?
Space at each camp is limited to only 30 fencers to ensure individual attention from the coaches. You should reserve your spot as soon as possible! To register for the camp, fill out the registration form given here and send in your registration deposit of $50.00. This fee is non-refundable, but will be applied to your camp fees. The balance is due at the beginning of the camp.
