1997 Escrime Du Lac

Christmas Camp and Tournament

December 20-23
(Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday)

Note: The camp will begin at 10 A.M. on Saturday morning.

The Indiana Fencing Academy / Escrime Du Lac Fencing Club is organizing a Christmas Camp in preparation for the 1998 competitive year. A tournament will be held during the camp on Sunday, December 21 beginning at 12 noon.

Staff:

The camp will feature a staff of qualified fencing instructors. Invited coaches include:

  • Yves Auriol: Head Coach of the University of Notre Dame Fencing Team.
  • Janusz Bednarski: Head Coach of the Escrime Du Lac Fencing Club.
  • Waldemar Czaja: Head Coach of Polstar Fencing Club.
  • Brian Collins: Coach of Grosse Pointe Fencing Club.

    Top USA junior fencers will attend this camp.

    Lodging:

    Due to limited lodging with host families, we encourage you to register early. Good rates are also available from area hotels. Call Escrime Du Lac Fencing Club for reservation. Good quality hotels are available for $40 - $50 per night with up to 4 persons per room.

    Cost:

    The cost for the camp is $120.00 for four days or $30.00 per day. This includes: The entry fee for the competition only is $10.00.
