Goals:

• Solve differential equations using high order explicit techniques.
• Solve stiff ODE's using implicit techniques.

Reading

• The class notes and Ch. 8 of Kahaner and Ch. 12 of Recktenwald.

Question of the Day:

• Are Runge-Kutta methods suitable for stiff equations?
• Discuss advantages and disadvantages of using the Trapezoidal Rule method as opposed to the 2-stage Runge-Kutta method.
