Dillon Hall is the biggest and best mens dorm on campus! We give the other dorms on campus a reason to be jealous! Here is a brief history of the dorm and some facts and figures, as well as our floor plans!

Dillon Hall was built in 1931, under the University's eleventh president, Rev. Charles O'Donnell, CSC. It was the thirteenth dorm built on campus and includes architectural stone carvings on the outside of saints, animals, student athletes, and a vessel. The chapel was dedicated to the memory of Knute Rockne. When the dorm opened, it housed 265 men. Notable past residents of Dillon Hall include Jim Flanigan, '94 (pro football), and Bill Laimbeer, '79 (pro basketball). With 81,000 square feet of space and room for nearly 340 residents, Dillon Hall is the largest residence hall on campus.

Our dorm nickname is Big Red, and our colors are red and black. We are located on the west end of South Quad, immediately next to South Dining Hall. Among the many activities that Dillon hosts is our most notable signature event, the Dillon Pep Rally. The Dillon Pep Rally is an annual event held before the first home game to excited the student body for the upcoming season, as well as put on a short, comical skit .

Dillon provides a variety of room configurations, including: singles (33% of rooms), doubles (37%), a few triples and 3-man suites (5%), and quite a few 4-man suites (25%). A few of the suites have private bathrooms. The dorm has three floors for a total of 167 rooms, which can hold 334 people. Every room contains a sink and modular furniture which may be arranged in a variety of configurations. The dorm has its own kitchen, laundry room, exercise room, and study rooms
