By way of introduction, I am a triple Domer. Currently I am an Adjunct Professor at the University of Notre Dame, working as lead developer on the VectorBase genome project. This spring, I am teaching data mining at Notre Dame.
In 2004, I received a B.S. in Computer Science from Notre Dame. I decided to remain at the university to pursue research and graduate studies. In 2006, I completed my master's thesis and earned my M.S. under
Dr. Aaron Striegel. I then began dissertation research under
Dr. Nitesh Chawla. I completed my PhD in 2009 and joined the university's Center Research Computing shortly thereafter. In the past, I engaged in multiple research projects centered on machine learning and data mining. Presently, I manage a team of developers on the VectorBase project, one of Notre Dame's largest grants. This site houses genetic information for several of the world's most prevalent disease carrying insects.
