The University of Notre Dame is conveniently located 90 miles east of downtown Chicago, less than 5 minutes from Interstate 80. The South Bend Regional Airport has direct flights to Detroit, Cincinnati, Chicago, Minneapolis, and Atlanta.

All talks and poster sessions will be held in the Jordan Hall of Science, which opened in August, 2006. This state-of-the-art classroom building houses most of the science lecture and laboratory courses taught on campus. The auditorium for the conference platform sessions has multiple screens with the ability to easily project up to three different images simultaneously. The poster sessions will be held in the hallways adjacent to the four-story atrium.

A complete map of the University of Notre Dame including highlighted areas where conference activities will take place is available here.

Two different forms of lodging are secured for the conference. A limited number of single and double rooms are available at the Morris Inn, which is located in the center of campus. These air-conditioned, nicely appointed rooms are a short walk from the Jordan Hall of Science and the dining hall that will be used for most of the meals. Single and double dormitory rooms are also available. These rooms are also air-conditioned and close to the Jordan Hall of Science and the dining hall. Both of these accommodations can be reserved through the Conference Registration Website.

Meeting participants may also reserve rooms at a variety of local hotels located within 5-10 miles of campus. Participants choosing off-campus housing must reserve this themselves.

Registration is $150 per participant. This includes all meeting materials (abstract book, name badge, folder), meals (Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast and lunch, Sunday breakfast), Saturday evening banquet, three session breaks (two on Saturday and one on Sunday), and a wine and cheese reception during the poster sessions on Friday and Saturday evenings.

Generous donations to help offset the costs of this meeting were made by:  The University of Notre Dame Graduate School and Office of Research, the Center for Zebrafish Research at the University of Notre Dame, and the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Notre Dame. Corporate sponsors include Marine Biotech and GeneTools.

Awards will be selected for the top two posters by a graduate student and the top two posters by a postdoc. These awards will be selected by an independent panel of judges and will be announced at the end of the meeting on Sunday, June 17.
