European Union – E180

Class Objective: This is a freshman seminar course. It is small in size with the purpose of having significant class discussion and an intensive writing component. Most of you have not had college-level economics courses so your analytical tools are limited. My intention is to teach you enough technical skills so that you can analyze the issues associated with European Integration. The intention is also to familiarize you with Europe and not just countries in Europe. At various points during the semester, individuals or teams of two people will be given the task of leading course discussion on a relevant topic.
