The Center for the Study of Social Movements and Social Change was founded in 2006 to provide an interdisciplinary emphasis on the study of collective political challenges expressed via protest, collective violence, and other extra-institutional collective action.
The center provides a clearinghouse for information about scholarly activity related to the study of social movements and social change at Notre Dame. It also helps connect scholars at Notre Dame with the broader national and global community of social movement scholars.
