All I can tell you about the FTD confusion is that the day after we
announced the FTT name change, I got eight phone calls from guys at Alumni
Hall wanting roses for their SYR that weekend.
For the archives, simply go to the website at
http://www.nd.edu/~cothweb/alumni.html and click on the COTHALUM link.
That'll take you to the archives.
As far as the major goes, there isn't any planned curriculum change, but I
think you'll see an expansion of elective offerings- more choices for
majors. The name change has been long overdue and now actually reflects
what we teach. For the past 10-15 years we've never truly been a
"Communication" department in the traditional sense of the word (areas of
speech communications, rhetoric, etc.).
As Popeye once said, "I yam what I yam"..... that would be Film,
Television, and Theatre.
