To the Listees,

Hey, John Dardis here, new to this list but a grandpappy of the film
program at ND. I filtered through the Loft (that musty "dot" to
O'Shaughnessy's "I") when the fate of the world hung on the wobbly mind
of one named Reagan; when one named Mandell was a plucky undergrad; when
the University actually gave official status to a political group
acronymed "RASTA".
Suspect of civilization's material survival I failed to make any
post-grad plans, so I ended up, after some inglorious and irrelevant
jobs, as a movie electrician in New York City. Seven years in N.Y. were
followed by the last five in L.A. - the incidental film job evolving
into an accidental career. Though I've helped light such films as True
Lies, One Fine Day, The Ghosts of Mississippi, etc., I'm now running
away from high paying work to go poor writing screenplays. Which brings
me around to the whole point of this note:

Will whomever steps up with $56 Million to nab that chunk of concrete in
D.C. please contact me before the deal is done.
I have some movies to make that are much more deserving of your dough.

Glad to be in the loop,
JD
