Ted, is this a closed maillist? Do the members HAVE to be subscribers to
submit a mail to the list?
If not, then the users can unsubscribe themselves or just set NOMAIL and
submit when they want and read the list from the archives.
If this is a closed maillist, then those possibly interested in mailing in the
future should set their subscription to NOMAIL.
Also, is there a DIGEST to this mailist? That will send only one message a
day.
To set commands for your subscription send an Email to:
listserv@VMA.CC.ND.EDU
and in the BODY of the message enter your commands (without my
comments):
SET COTHALUM NOMAIL /* to stop the influx of mail
/* this is also good for vacation time
SET COTHALUM MAIL /* to restart the influx of mail
SIGNOFF COTHALUM /* to get off the list
