My name is Dan Chucta. I am a junior and I just switched over this year
from engineering to film production. I'm interested in working with special
effects films, especially ones in Hollywood. I don't know what to do as far
as looking for an internship. I am leaving in two weeks from ND to go home
and I'm going to be studying abroad next semester in Rome so if anyone would
give me any help soon I would appreciate it. Also I want to know if anyone
was interested in working on or directing big Hollywood-type films when
they went to Notre Dame and if they were able to have any luck finding jobs
out of school. I'm thinking of going to grad school for directing, which
almost caused my mom to disown me over Thanksgiving when I told her for the
first time that I was no longer going to go law school after here. She's
just worried that I won't have a job when I graduate and I'll be living at
home working at McDonalds. I want to direct special effects films, but I'd
also be interested in working for a special effects house like IL&M or
Dreamworks. I have a lot of computer knowledge from engineering and I just
took a Graphics Design course so if anyone knows what the market is like out
there and what else I could do that would make me more marketable, I'd like
to know. Thanks. If anyone wants to contact just me and not the whole
list, my e-mail address is dchucta@darwin.helios.nd.edu
