Okay, okay, I've been lurking long enough. I'll come out of the corner
of the virtual SYR and introduce myself. I'm Frank Mancini from the
class of '86 (after reading some of the other entries I'm beginning to
feel like the grandfather on the list). Right now, my only claim to fame
is that I know and graduated with the immortal computer geek himself,
Ted Mandell. Boy, could I tell some stories.
Anyway, I currently work in the Media Services Department at SUNY
College at Brockport near Rochester, NY (no, Rochester is not near NYC.
It's one of the other cities in New York State). We are responsible for
all the classroom technical needs on campus from filmstrip projectors
(yes, some people still use them) to LCD data projectors.
Unfortunately, the majority of my cinematic creative efforts entail
producing home videos of my two boys, aged 3 and 4 1/2. Okay, it's
mostly birthday parties and holidays, but the videos flow thematically
and the mise en scene is unparalleled (that's the first time since
graduation that I've used the term "mise en scene").
I do not know of any internships for the summer, but my house needs
painting and I have a ton of stories about making films at Notre Dame,
does that count?
