THE
NOTRE DAME CHORALE

The
concert choir of the University of Notre Dame, the Chorale
is a concert ensemble of 60+ voices specializing in choral
works from the Renaissance to the present. The Chorale performs
a joint concert with the
Notre Dame Chamber Orchestra twice each semester. In addition,
the Chorale performs Handel's Messiah with the Chamber
Orchestra in December to sold-out audiences.
Each
year's events include a Fall Weekend Tour in October, a Fall
Concert on campus in November, the December Messiah
performances, a Winter Tour to distant cities in January,
a Spring Weekend Tour in April, a Spring Concert on campus
just after Spring Tour, a concert on Friday afternoon during
Commencement Weekend, and participation in the Baccalaureate
Mass during Commencement Weekend (Saturday, mid-May). Recent
tours have taken the Chorale to various locations in Europe
and the United States, including stops in France, Bavaria,
Austria, Italy, and England.
