ESI TOF MS
- - - The MicrOTOF II system allows researchers to obtain mass spectral information with Electo Spray Ionization (ESI) before the sample proceeds into the Time of Flight (TOF) tower, providing exact mass information for identification of organic compounds. ESI is a soft ionization techinque that can allow, depending on the sample and matrix, the mass of the entire molecule. Also ESI can multiply charge ions which, again depending on the sample, can give exact mass in the 30,000 dalton range.- - -
