Civil Engineering Service Projects (CESP)

The Department of Civil Engineering and Geological Sciences will coordinate Academic Year 2008-2009 service projects with the City of South Bend Department of Public Works, which includes the Divisions of Engineering, Environmental Services, Water Works, Equipment Services, and Transportation.  These are cross-curriculum team projects that have a civil engineering emphasis, but most teams benefit from input by almost every discipline or undergraduate major. The current approach is to offer these service projects through the courses CE 25600 (first-year and sophomores), CE 35600 (juniors), and CE 45600 (seniors), which are entitled “Civil Engineering Service Projects.”
