Ernst & Young YMP Alumni Return to Campus
David Johnston
Four graduates of the Ernst & Young Your Master Plan (YMP) program returned to campus last summer to offer advice to students just starting out in the YMP program at Notre Dame. “Attitude is real important and taking ownership of the job responsibilities that have been set upon you,” said David Johnston (MS-ACCY ’03), who now works in E&Y’s Dallas office. Jodi Phillips (MS-ACCY ’00), an Assurance Manager in E&Y’s Toledo office, praised the program for furthering networking opportunities and building a lasting camaraderie between graduates. There was agreement among the panelists that passing the CPA exam requires hard work and a focused study plan.
Ernst & Young’s “Your Master Plan” is a unique 15-month program that allows participants to earn a Masters of Accountancy at the University of Notre Dame while gaining valuable work experience.
