Upon successfully completing the First Year of Studies, students decide in which of the four colleges they would like to pursue a degree: Arts and Letters, Business, Engineering, Science or the School of Architecture. Students interested in pursuing a major in the Mendoza College of Business attend a "career night" in the Spring Semester in which they are shown a video, meet with faculty and are given advice as to the different majors in the Mendoza College of Business. Students interested in a major in the College of Business, decide in the spring of their sophomore year which of the 5 areas of interest they will pursue: Accountancy, Finance, Management (Consulting or Entrepreneurship), Management Information Systems (MIS), or Marketing. Comprehensive advising is available for all students before and after they make their major decision.
