Korean Actress to Visit Campus

March 27, 9:00 p.m., DeBartolo Performing Arts Center - Browning Cinema

The Center for Asian Studies is a co-sponsor for the March 27th FTT Talks event at the DeBartolo Performing Arts Center. Lee Young-Lan, Professional Actress and Associate Professor at Kyung Hee University, Korea, will be on hand as her first feature-film A Petal is screened. The event is Tuesday, March 27, at 9:00 p.m. It will begin with a screening of the film, followed by a Q&A session with Lee. This is a free but ticketed event. Go HERE for more information.

President Jenkins visits Asia

This summer President Jenkins, accompanied by various other University professors and administrators, visited China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. Catch the full story HERE.

Crisis and Detour: 25 Years of Today

From March 19-22, 2006, the University of Notre Dame held a conference in honor of Bei Dao, a world-renowed poet originally from mainland China. He is the founding editor of Jintian, "Today", an underground literary journal published in China. Please check HERE for more information and the schedule of events.
