We are under attack. All of creation is under attack. Since life began, death, decay, sickness, pain, fear, hate, loneliness, despair—in short, all the forces of Satan—have been ravaging us. The revolution begins with a cry of outrage, a groan of yearning, a song of hope in response to the wreckage of sin. We are not abandoned. The Father’s act of creation is not over; indeed, it never stopped. He is here, now, with us. He is working to redeem, heal, restore, unite and resurrect his creation. The revolution is like a fire in the darkness, a river through the desert, a wind over the ocean that is working to make all things in this world good again. We are part of what the Father is doing. 2,000 years ago, God first sent his Son into the world. Jesus came to give us new life, abundant life. He came to heal us, unite us and set us free. He came to give us the Holy Spirit. He came to start the revolution. God has been sending his Son into the world ever since. Resurrected and recreated by his Holy Spirit, the sons and daughters of the Father have been and are now working to conquer the forces of Satan and renew the face of the earth. The revolution is Christ, the Son of God, in the flesh, laboring, creating, building, sacrificing, living, dying—in short, loving—in real and tangible ways to save the world. We are the people of God. Jesus started the revolution by bringing together a concrete group of people, in a concrete place and equipping them with the power to live their lives in common—concretely. They took care of each other. They fed, housed, clothed, healed, disciplined, educated, served and loved each other. And they grew—we grew. We are still growing; like yeast in dough, like a mustard seed. Indeed, our growth, the defeat of Satan, the renewal of creation and the salvation of the entire world are one and the same process. We, the sons and daughters of the Father, will have won the final victory when we are all and in all. The revolution is the new creation, the Kingdom of God. We are the revolution. Join us! |
