Campus Fellowship is a Christian, ecumenical and charismatic community of students committed to living and building the Kingdom of God right here and now. What does that mean? It means we confess that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the Savior of the world (I Jn. 4:15). It means that though we respect our denominational differences we don’t let them interfere with our common life and work (Jn. 17:11). It means we live that life and accomplish that work through the power of God’s Holy Spirit, using the spiritual gifts such as healing, prophecy and tongues (II Cor. 12:9-10). It means we live our lives as much in common as possible — eating together, studying together, praying together, celebrating together, rooming on campus together and renting houses off campus together, etc. (c.f. Acts 4:32). It means we are working to extend our life to the people around us — to rescue the girl eating alone in the dining hall from her fatal loneliness, to heal the roommate who is suffering from migraines, to free the guy down the hall from his drug addiction, to invite anyone and everyone to join us in this free and joyful life we’ve found (Lk. 4:18). In short, it means we are living and laboring to unite all things in Christ, to further establish his Kingdom (Eph 1:10).
