Stockton Precast Yard Briefing

This site precasts the segments for the Skyway Bridge Project.

• Segment Dimensions: 800 t, 8 m long, 25 m wide
• 452 seqments will be fabricated
• Yard has on-site storage for 180 segments
• Light weight concrete with a light aggregate from North Carolina is used
• Very few segments have the same dimension so mechanical form systems are used that can be adjusted
• 800 t straddle carrier moves the segments in the yard and onto barges
